What started out as one man's hobby over 20 years ago has culminated in the Hazel Dene Garden Centre we know today, one of the best independently owned Garden Centres in Cumbria. 

Hazel Dene is set in a delightful rural location on the fringes of Culgaith, a typical village set in the Eden Valley, nestling alongside the Settle to Carlisle railway line.

Many of those who work at Hazel Dene are local to the district of Eden and their enthusiastic support throughout the years has contributed to the continuing success of the Garden Centre.

Each year brings new challenges, more varied plant selections, different products, maintaining and improving standards throughout the Garden Centre, Gift & Country Food Shop and Mrs Miller's Tearoom.

The philosophy today is much as it has always been, to provide excellent quality plants and products at value for money prices - with customer service that is second to none.
